During active Seasons, players can earn Season Candles through the Season Guide at Home which awards them for completing Daily Quests. Furthermore, special candle bunches will appear regularly in social spaces and first areas within Realms to increase your candle earnings further.
Winter Celebrations

Winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year and is celebrated across cultures by lighting candles to brighten homes and give gifts of light as gifts for loved ones. Candles have long been associated with this celebration.
Hanukkah, or the Jewish Festival of Lights, takes place annually during winter and commemorates an incredible miracle that occurred when one day’s worth of oil lasted eight. Additionally, Christmas, which follows Hanukkah closely behind it, includes several candle-related traditions like Christmas trees and carolers.
Players can gain six Spirits for Seasonal Candles through the Constellation Table at Home during each season in exchange for Seasonal Hearts earned through Daily Quests or other special events; Seasonal Hearts can then be exchanged for regular candles when that season has concluded.
Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is an annual winter holiday celebrating African-American heritage and culture, starting the day after Christmas and ending on New Year’s Day. Established by Maulana Karenga – an American professor and activist – Kwanzaa was established with the purpose of honoring and commemorating all aspects of African-American heritage and culture as well as celebrating African Americans’ contributions to society.
Kwanzaa is a holiday of family and community celebration, commemorating African peoples and their long journey for freedom. Each candle represents one of seven principles: Unity (umoja), Self-determination (kujichagulia), Collective Work & Responsibility (ujima), Cooperative Economics (ujamaa), Purpose (nia), Creativity (kuumba) and Faith (imani).
Kwanzaa symbols include the decorative straw mat known as a mkeka, cups for every family member to drink from to symbolize sharing, an abundance of fruits or vegetables arranged into bouquets to represent abundance, and giving each child in your household an ear of corn as a memento of Kwanzaa as future of your community. Zawadi gifts given specifically to children serve to reinforce this sentiment while encouraging good habits such as respecting others, positive thinking, expectations, discipline, self-direction and achievement among others.
